Darklord Day 2012

We are currently working on all the details for this year’s Darklord Day.  As details become available we will post them on this site as well as Twitter, Facebook and our brewery site; www.3floyds.com.  Neither the brewery nor the pub will have any additional Darklord Day information.

Any chance you guys will do something about having 2 hour lines outside? Spending the day waiting in line to wait in line sucks. Of course, if someone were peddling beer down the line whilst we wait, that would make it better. Beyond that, it seemed to me that what took so damned long was the ONE person checking tickets… with the crowd 3F pulls, there should be a minimum of four checking tix all at once.

    Hey guys,

When you set up your site, could you set it up so that you can ship to non-USA addresses? I’m in Windsor ON. and I’ve been making the trip every year for 3 years, but last year I almsot didn’t make it because I had to scramble to finda friend in the States to ship to. Me and my friends do a beer tasting of craft beers every year, and Dark Lord has been a staple, so if you could make it a little easier on us that would be great!

Darklord Day tickets… In pub registration for a lottery, your number gets picked first dibs on 4 person limit for entry tickets!!!!

    What do you think?

How about if your not from around the area? I say you release a certain amount of tickets online the first day, have a reduced amount of tickets for the next day, and then have a limited amount of tickets on the third day. Therefore, people have a chance to buy tickets on different days. I’ve never seen this before but thought I’d put my input in.
    Cheers!

Last time I went to DLD there were no tickets at all and it was strictly first come first serve. We had driven all the way out from NJ and when we talked to people at the pub the night before they said “If you aren’t in line by 5:00 am you aren’t getting anything.” so we got up crazy early, got in line and were the only people there besides the people who told us that. By the time the doors opened up though, the line was thousands long and you knew the people in the back were getting nothing. Maybe do a combination golden ticket and first come first serve. Have the bulk of the tickets go out on line then have some small portion available for the first come first serve people the day of or the day before. Part of the joy of DLD was seeing so many people from other states bring tasty beers for people to try so if you just have it as a lottery from the brew pub for tickets out of state people would have to go there twice once to possibly get a raffle ticket and then to DLD.

I will be flying all the way from Vancouver, Canada for this event so please give us Canadians a shot at tickets beyond the scalpers out there.
