Please note that we’re trying our best to nail down the exact details of every aspect of the DLD 2011 event. Hopefully this FAQ can answer many of your questions. Please note that specific details of the DLD 2011 event can and may change without notice. We will be doing our level best to keep this page as up to date as possible.

We appreciate your questions and comments but please keep in mind that we’re swamped with simply trying to meet our production schedule of Dark Lord, and it’s very time consuming to try to put everyone’s mind at rest by answering every little question. So PLEASE read this FAQ entirely before posting questions or comments. If you feel that we’ve missed a major issue or details, then you can feel free to touch base with us.

  1. Dark Lord Day is an ADULT ONLY event a STRICT 21 and over policy will be adhered to. Also, no pets allowed. Your pet will be turned away at the gate.
  2. The event will take place on Saturday, April 30th.
  3. The only way to ensure that you’ll get some Darklord is to purchase a ticket online. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these tickets go to a local charity.
  4. These tickets will go on sale on March 19th at 1 pm.
  5. We will announce the sales details of the tickets on Twitter followed by posts on the Darklord day web site as well as the Rate Beer and Beer Advocate web sites.  The ticket link will be posted in advance.
  6. The biggest change for this year is that a ticket will be required to attend the event. This ticket will also guarantee bottle allocation. Regrettably, changes have to be made to ensure the longevity of the event, safety and shorter lines. Without the ticket, there will be no admission to the premises. More information on ticket sales will be made available in the coming weeks.
  7. We are currently working on a time schedule for Darklord bottle sales. More info will be posted in the coming weeks.
  8. Admission tickets sales will be limited to 2 per person.  Darklord allocations will be per person not per ticket however.
  9. The bottle limit will be announced as soon as we determine this year’s yield. We limit the amount a guest can buy so more people will be able to enjoy and share the beer.
  10. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit local charities.
  11. We are putting the lineup together. We’re excited about the bands we have committed and will release more info soon.
  12. The brewery will provide some parking, but we are in a business park that isn’t set up for this kind of crowd. Carpool if you can and please respect our neighbors property.
  13. The brewery is located at 9750 Indiana Pkwy, Munster, In. 46321
  14. THIS EVENT IS CASH ONLY. ATMs will be provided for those that don’t want to travel with cash.
  15. There may be some buses being organized by local bars, but none by Three Floyds.
  16. We allow people to bring limited amounts of beer for trading and sampling with other beer lovers. The idea is to celebrate craft beer not have a raging kegger. Please no kegs and be respectful of the event.
  17. There are several hotels in the area. The closest is The Hampton Inn of Munster.
  18. There is no space for camping. Again, we are in a business park.  The Munster police have also asked that we keep RVs out of the industrial park.  Please help us with this.
